Woman of Fortune as a concept is a product of rhapsodies of reality conceived to identify and try to aggregate women of uncommon qualities in different sectors of the MMS plus Weekly coverage interest. It has turned out to be an exploration worth the effort with over a hundred women in leadership positions discovered. Before now, I knew of a few women in places but doubted if much cold be seen of them against the backdrop of disdainful gossips that followed all the strong ladies that worked in former President Olusegun Obasanjo`s cabinet. They were given names and scandalized genderwise, but the men were spared. How does it feel as a woman to be robbed of hardwork by ascribing it to `bottom power`? When a woman succeeds in an enterprise, especially where men failed it is credited to feminine prowess. But the success definition lacks perspective when the victims of the previous failure are women. The argument at this point could be that `they failed because the could not apply their “bottom power” nicely. We have seen women start and climb the ladder of success by sheer work, professionalism, perseverance and right positioning. As such, our role modeling initiative is to help build capacities in the family, corporate and political institutions to help arrest the drift of morality and promote leadership by impact. Today `s event is therefore, simply to canonize this lofty recognition into the annals of our history by taking this worthy cause to the next level, and celebrate them as role models and agents of positive change in the society. Your Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen, the MMS plus` Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame which we are here to inaugurate signposts a monumental turning-point in our history; because after toady`s inauguration and induction ceremony, we now have role model baseline younger generations can now emulate and draw inspirations from. The MMS plus ` woman of fortune Hall of Fame shall be a pacesetter and the anvil of uncommon zone where works of virtues, creativity, mentorship, service, courage, leadership capacities, morality, professionalism, perseverance and career framework all exists in one hall as a reflection zone and mirror for today`s young women and generations yet unborn, can drew strength and inspiration from. Today`s humble edifice is the concept of the editorial term of MMS plus Weekly Newspaper, which posts the Woman of Fortune on a dedicated column in its front page, since 2010. May I , ladies and gentlemen also inform you in passing that already, the MMS plus` Woman of Fortune Hall of fame as a fallout of MMS plus Weekly concept has been endorsed by most women professional group in the country. They include; Women in Logistics and Transport (WILAT-Nigeria), Custom Officers Wives` Association (COWA), and Women `s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA-Nigeria). The MMS plus` Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame is a harbinger of grate things to come, and its song shall be heard outside the shores of this country. And to achieve this feat, we shall try to make this an annual event. May I also as a mark of respect for the female folk and their management finesse recognized and commend the efforts of my wonderful wife who incidentally is a member of WILAT, WISTA and a woman of fortune. If re-incarnation is real let me have you again. I thank you all for your kind presence and participation in this historic ceremony. Kings Communications
